This download is the Apple silicon build. Live operation also requires Metal, an active unmirrored built-in display, and a continuous lid-angle sensor. Apple silicon alone does not guarantee compatibility. External displays are not animated.

Fold’s effect does not appear on the lock screen, the password or Touch ID screen after sleep, or the login screen before sign-in.

Fold is not notarised by Apple. First launch may require per-app approval in System Settings → Privacy & Security → Open Anyway after you attempt to open it. Managed Macs may prevent installation. Read Apple’s opening instructions ↗
Your screen stays local.
Screen Recording permission is needed to draw the live effect. Frames are processed on your Mac, without deliberately saving or uploading screen content. Fold captures no microphone audio and includes no behavioural analytics or account.

What is included?
Fold 1.0.2 for Apple silicon, plus installation instructions. This is a one-time purchase of the current app. Canvas & Glass wallpapers are sold separately.
How do I install Fold?
Download the app after purchase, open the disk image, drag Fold into Applications, and open it. Follow the first-launch approval steps above if macOS prompts you. Then choose Enable Fold to grant Screen Recording permission. Do not disable macOS security protections.
Can I pause the effect?
Yes. Pause from the menu bar at any time. Esc clears an active effect, and Control–Option–Command–F pauses Fold. Closing the app window keeps Fold in the menu bar.
How do updates work?
Updates are installed manually. Quit Fold, download the newer version from the same trusted download source, and replace Fold in Applications. No specific future feature or release date is promised.
Does Fold include wallpapers?
